Skydio is currently unable to ship drone orders
It is unclear at what point in the future the drone maker will be able to continue production.
The message on the Skydio website reads as follows:
We are currently unable to ship orders.
Due to the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic, our local manufacturing in California has temporarily halted operations. All of our Bay Area employees have been advised by the state of California to stay home to prevent the spread of COVID-19 as part of the Bay Area Shelter in Place directive, which is active through early April. We’re closely monitoring these developments, but please note that we are unable to fulfill any Skydio orders at this time. For more information on this statewide directive, please see this page. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time, and we sincerely hope that you and your loved ones are safe and healthy. Are you waiting on your Skydio 2 drone to be delivered? Let us know what batch you are in. We will be closely following Skydio and other drone companies and report here on DroneXL if and when we learn of any updates. We hope that the situation will improve soon and that Skydio will be able to ramp up the production of their drone to fulfill all their orders. I see quite a few order cancellations on social media and that must be worrisome for one of the most-promising and most-American drone companies.
