DJI Inspire 3 Drone arrives on April 13th, right before NAB 2023

DJI, the leading drone manufacturer, plans to release the DJI Inspire 3 on Thursday. April 13th at 9am EDT. This comes after the company shared a teaser image on social media.

Over the past few days and weeks, leaked photos of pre-production models for the newest DJI Inspire model have surfaced, raising anticipation for the upcoming launch.

The is set to be unveiled on Thursday, April 13th, right before NAB 2023 event in Las Vegas. The company has aptly titled the theme for the new drone, “Inspiration arrives.”

Though not many technical specifications have been leaked thus far, the Inspire 3 is expected to boast impressive features and compatibility.

One notable feature is the drone's compatibility with the Zenmuse X9 camera, allowing it to film in stunning 8K video resolution.

We expect the new DJI Inspire 3 to offer the following features and specs:

  • The primary camera will support 8K video at 75 fps, 6K at 100 fps, and 4K at 200 fps.
  • As mentioned earlier, the Inspire 3 is rumored to be compatible with the Zenmuse X9 camera, which is capable of shooting in 8K.
  • The Inspire 3 is expected to come equipped with an improved, higher-quality FPV camera than its predecessor, the .
  • The DJI Inspire 3 will likely feature improved video transmission with a greater range and less latency, thanks to DJI's OcuSync video transmission technology.
  • There is speculation that a new version of OcuSync will be released with the Inspire 3, further enhancing its range and reducing latency.
  • The DJI Inspire 3 is expected offer a flight time of approximately 35 minutes, 5-7 minutes longer than the DJI Inspire 2.
  • The DJI Inspire 3 might be compatible with the DJI RC Plus remote controller.
  • The DJI Inspire 3 is expected to be lighter than the Inspire 2, which would help extend the drone's flight time.
  • However, the exact weight of the camera drone is unknown at this point.
  • We expect the Inspire 3 to have obstacle avoidance in all six directions.
