DJI Mini SE specs shown on the DJI Brasil website

Today we noticed that the new DJI Mini SE is already visible on the DJI Brasil website. Let’s take a closer look at the DJI Mini SE specs and some of the photos of this attractively priced but low-end specced drone.

We already knew that the DJI Mini SE would be making its way to the market. Today we first discovered it listed on the DJI Brasil website.

The DJI Mini SE is effectively a DJI Mini 2 with the specs of the original DJI Mavic Mini and will be offered at a lower price. Earlier we have seen photos that were leaked by Walmart. However, today we learned from Ti Xie, Public Relations Director at DJI that the Mini SE will only be offered in Russland, Southeast Asian Countries, and South American countries.

“The DJI Mini SE is a specialized product tailored for entry-level Drohnenpiloten in markets where consumer drone use is emerging. It uses the internal components of the Mavic Mini in the shell of the Mini 2, which generates slightly higher wind resistance but provides much of the performance of the original Mavic Mini at a very attractive price.

There are currently no plans to sell this product in the US or Europa (apart from Russia). DJI Mini 2 remains our flagship entry-level drone, with its superior 4K/30fps resolution and up to 10km image transmission (subject to local rules and regulations).”

It seems that DJI is offering a new gateway drug into the drone hobby and profession but only in markets where the DJI Mini 2 may be priced out of reach of the target audience.

According to the DJI Mini SE specs the aircraft uses Optimized Wi-Fi for the video transmission between the drone and the remote controller instead of OcuSync 2.0. Also, the photos on the Brazilian website show the remote controller from the DJI Mavic Mini and not from the Mini 2.

The DJI Mini SE can be seen on the Brazilian and Singaporean DJI websites. In the lower right-hand corner of the site, you can switch to these regions and find out for yourself.
