En DJI Mavic 3 will be delayed ‘until Trump is gone’ says a source inside DJI. This is the information we have received today from one of the sources that we’ve worked with for a long time. Furthermore, this breaking news comes from very high within the Chinese DJI organization.

DJI Mavic 3 delayed ‘until Trump is gone’
Everybody, including me, was expecting the new DJI Mavic 3 to be released sometime this summer. However, based on the information we have received from very high up within the Chinese DJI organization, that no longer seems to the case.
We have been told that the DJI Mavic 3 will be delayed ‘until Trump is gone.’ This means after he would have left the Casa Blanca in January 2021, assuming that he loses the election. If Trump wins the election, who knows…
The unexpected decision to delay the launch of the DJI Mavic 3 was made last weekend after President Trump announced that he would ban the popular app TikTok. Mr. Trump later adjusted this to he will ban TikTok as of September 15th, if Microsoft or some other American company hasn’t bought the Chinese app by then.
These words from our President have had a significant effect on DJI. The Chinese drone maker does not want to create any more waves, or even demand for its products, because DJI is afraid of any potential restrictions or bans President Trump may impose. Of course, recent news about Seguridad de los datos issues with the DJI Go 4 y DJI Pilot app do not help this situation.
Besides the new DJI Mavic 3 drone being delayed, the only products we will likely see to be released any time soon are a new version of the DJI Ronin-SC in late September or the first week of October, and the DJI Osmo Mobile 4. More on this in a later post.
As far as the DJI Mavic 3 is concerned, the drone is pretty much finalized and is currently undergoing final testing. This indicates that a release in 2020 would have been possible if it wasn’t for all the political upheaval and the ever-deteriorating relations between the Estados Unidos y China.
DJI’s response
Here’s the official response from DJI:
“There have been no plans to launch such a product this summer, and we do most certainly not schedule or reschedule product releases according to political events, in the US or elsewhere in the world.”

🤔 I’m not sure if I buy this. If anyone thinks Biden is anywhere remotely capable of running the USA, they need to move to a socialist country and away from capitalism. Don’t you think that’s very telling about the suspicions we had on Chinese based companies? Trump is the only president willing to do something about it? Biden will not hold China accountable. If DJI was honest they would really not be concerned about restrictions. China has proven themselves time and time again how dishonest they are.

I love drones and love DJI as a company but if you involve politics and criticize our president for protecting our innovations and manufacturing then you can go f yourself. Not all Chinses products is like DJI’s, 99% is dangerous junk.

This probably isn’t true. DJI is a major corporation and making a decision like that would be absurdly unprofessional in their part. But if it is true, then it is very simple. Trump is gonna win. DJI is gonna be all butthurt. And since people aren’t gonna be buying anymore of their drones because they are waiting for an update (which is happening already), DJI will be forced to release it. And they will eat their words. But at the end of the day, this “information from a source inside DJI” is all BS from a blue haired person that sits at home all day mad at the world.
