DJI Mavic 3 Pro sustituirá al dron Phantom 4 Pro y probablemente también al Inspire 2

As we have said before, the new DJI Mavic 3 is likely to arrive in two versions. A ‘regular’ Mavic 3 as well as a larger Mavic 3 Pro. The Pro version will not only replace the Phantom 4 Pro but is also likely to replace the aging .

DJI Mavic 3 Pro to replace the Phantom 4 Pro and likely also the Inspire 2 drone

DJI was expected to launch the drone this summer, but it seems that DJI has changed course and because of the turbulent political times will now wait to introduce this drone until at least January 2021.

El nuevo Mavic 3 is expected to arrive in two versions, a regular and a DJI Mavic 3 Pro. Both versions will make the Phantom 4 Pro obsolete, but the DJI Mavic 3 Pro is even expected to replace the aging DJI Inspire 2.

The DJI Inspire 2 is a platform that did very well for DJI and one that they are proud of, according to an anonymous company insider. However, the camera options for the Inspire 2 are showing their age and the DJI’s dual-band Lightbridge technology that is used in this professional drone can’t hold a candle to the company’s latest tech seen in the DJI Mavic Air 2.

Dji Mavic 3 Pro To Replace Phantom 4 Pro And Likely Also Inspire 2 Drone 1

It is been rumored that the new DJI Mavic 3 Pro will have interchangeable lenses and that the Chinese drone maker might even be working on a stabilized zoom lens option. We think that if these rumors become reality, the Mavic 3 Pro will surely mean the end of the Inspire 2 series.

The Phantom 4 Pro production will be stopped at that point as well, and DJI might only opt to keep producing the Phantom 4 RTK y P4 Multispectral for commercial and enterprise customers.

  1. This is so depressing. I have been waiting years for a true Phantom 4 replacement. First it was that Phantom 5 and now the Mavic 3. Will anything ever be released?!? Originally the Mavic 3 was supposed to come out Jan. 2020.

  2. DJI are wondering why they are loosing customers, well if they keep us waiting we are going to buy from their competitors, they keep promising new drones and then delay them, if the mavic 3 isn’t released soon then they will loose loads of customers 🤷‍♂️

  3. I wonder what they mean by making the P4P obsolete. The reason so many like the P4P isn’t necessarily because of specs, it’s the form factor. Many Professional operators like to mount 3rd party stuff to the drone and the folding drones aren’t very well suited for that.

  4. Interesting.
I’m not surprised, as it seems the size/girth of both the I2 and P4 are simply not needed anymore, nor are they efficient.

It’s the same in the standard camera world. There are of course the size-mongers who stick to full-frame, but advances in APS-C and Micro 4/3 now get comparable results to FF with a lot less weight and heft.
….As with all tech, things gradually get smaller.

(though I will mention, the M2P is so popular, they may also be looking for a way to push that particular price point / niche UP!)

  5. Of course the Mavic Pro will never replace the Inspire. The sensor can not become a full frame and recorder RAW will also never be as powerful. Also the interchangeable lenses of substantial larger full frame glass can of course never fit on a mini drone.

I’m working in the professional cinematography and I would cry if there won’t come a Inspire 3.

Please think a bit further than you own working field because you start believing the consumer Mavic Pro 3 will replace a professional Inspire.

  6. MDT only get results close by Full Frame when used with a metabones and a heavy lens. These two things cannot be placed on a lightweight orientated drone.
So no, it won’t replace anything.

Don’t forget that an I3 can also be upgraded with a 8K sensor and 4K 120fps. Something any professional drone pilot really wishes for. Especially the 4K slowmo and ProRes and RAW codecs.

  7. It’s naive to think a Mavic3 would replace Inspire2. 50mph? Dual Operator with dual camera? 360 rotating camera? The M3 won’t have that. M3 will remain a pro-sumer craft, under $2K. It would we easy for DJI to update I2 with the latest communications.

    • H, Tom! I’m a journalist with Scripps News on deadline. I’m reaching out to see if you would be interested in licensing part of this footage to us. (The email I sent bounced back, so trying you here) If so, please reach out ASAP for details. We would need to make this happen by tomorrow (Monday) at noon ET. Thanks so much!

  8. […] dieses Gerücht gibt es. Die neue Mavic 3 soll als Pro-Variante die Inspire 2 UND die Phantom 4 Pro ersetzen. Sagt […]
