Weed dropped over Tel Aviv with high-flying drone
On Thursday, weed was dropped over Rabin Square in Tel Aviv with a high-flying drone by activists seeking to legalize the drug in Israel. The free weed was promised by the activists on social media beforehand.
Weed dropped over Tel Aviv with high-flying drone
On Thursday, over one of the squares in Tel Aviv, Israel a high-flying drone dropped packets of that look like cannabis. The drop was made by activists who are looking to legalize the drug in Israel. According to the police two men operating the drone over Rabin Square were arrested.
The Green Drone pro-legalization group said on Telegram:
“The time has come. Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it’s the Green Drone sending you free cannabis from the skies.”
Reuters reports that a Policía statement said that the suspected bags were filled with ‘a dangerous drug’. Officers apparently managed to recover dozens of them. Photos that were distributed by police show what appears to be cannabis inside the bags
According to the local news website, pedestrians took some of the weed-filled bags before the police arrived. In Israel, medical use of cannabis is allowed while recreational use is still illegal although largely decriminalized.
