Autel EVO III, EVO Lite and EVO Mini specs revealed in latest leak

Earlier today, on Twitter these photos were shared. They appear to show three new and different Autel drones, the Autel EVO III, the EVO Lite, and the EVO Mini (previously known as the EVO Nano).
Autel EVO III, EVO Lite and EVO Mini specs revealed in latest leak
If these photos are true and accurate, which we believe they are, based on other photos y vídeo we have seen, it would indicate that Autel Robotics is not launching two but three new drones this year.
We have heard from people high-up in the Autel organization that new drones are coming to the market, but we have been surprised but the photo of the Autel EVO III that was shared today.
Let’s take a closer look at these three, new drones from Autel Robotics.
The Autel EVO III
According to the information in the screenshot, the new Autel EVO III will come in four different versions:
- Autel EVO III with a one-inch sensor, and fisheye omnidirectional obstacle avoidance.
- Autel EVO III Pro with a micro 4/3 sensor (interchangeable lenses???), and fisheye omnidirectional obstacle avoidance.
- Autel EVO III Zoom with 8K dual camera (similar to the DJI Mavic 3?), 10x fusion zoom, fisheye omnidirectional obstacle avoidance.
- Autel EVO III Supersense with 1.4 inches and fisheye omnidirectional obstacle avoidance.
All four EVO III models will have a range of 6.2 miles. the focus with the EVO III is on professional aerial photos with excellent picture quality in a portable and foldable drone design with low-light capabilities for photo and video and a 40-minute flight time.
The EVO Lite
This is the potential DJI Mavic Air 2S competitor from Autel Robotics and comes in two versions:
- Autel EVO Lite with 1/1.28 inch CMOS sensor and front, back, and downwards obstacle avoidance.
- Autel EVO Lite+ with a one-inch sensor and downwards obstacle avoidance.
The Autel EVO Lite would allow for vertical and horizontal photo taking and video recording at 4K/60FPS. The aim of this drone is to make flying, shooting, and sharing quick and easy. Geared to social media users.
Evo Mini (previously named the EVO Nano)
The Autel Mini is a sub-250-grams drone that is highly portable and comes with various smart flight features. It has a 30-minute flight time and a range of up to 6.2 miles. The Autel Mini drone comes in two versions:
- EVO Mini without obstacle avoidance
- EVO Mini Plus with obstacle avoidance
We do not know if the EVO Mini without o/a will weigh even less than 250 grams and if so if the drone comes with a larger battery to possibly extend the flight time.
The Autel EVO Lite and Mini were supposed to be launched in August according to this information, which we believe might indeed have been the case. If you remember, Autel Robotics hired a new CEO (Randall Warnass) who left after only nine weeks into the job. I can imagine that such a sudden and dramatic change might have thrown off some launch dates. The Autel EVO III is scheduled for October this year. If Autel indeed launches these seven new drone models in 2021, we would be very surprised. Very happily so but still surprised. Unfortunately, Autel Robotics has had a history of delayed product launches over the last couple of years. I hope that they will pull this off and launch these new drones in 2021 still as it would provide some legitimate competition to the world’s largest drone maker, DJI.
Btw – it seems that these photos might have come from FCC filings, based on the grey grid surface on which the drones were placed.
Thanks to J. Ellens for sharing these photos.
So, apparently @AutelRobotics is ready for battle with the @DJIGlobal #Mavic3. Next to the Nano and Light, this is the #EVOIII. The specs: A 4/3 inch sensor, omnidirectional av, 40 minutes flight and maybe launched next month?Special thanks to my friend E.B. for this exclusive. pic.twitter.com/R7DAcwQQdV
