DJI Mavic 3 is perfect spy drone to keep eye on Russian troops in Ukraine

It turns out that the DJI Mavic 3 is the perfect spy drone with its powerful but jerky 28x hybrid zoom feature to keep an eye on Russian troop movements in .

Take a look at the video below that was posted on Twitter today. The aerial footage shows three reportedly Russian armored vehicles and five soldiers working on one of them.

The spy drone is flying so high in the sky that the Russian troops haven’t even noticed that they are being watched.

We know from earlier reports that the Russian army likes to hide their vehicles in villages to deter the Ukrainian army from shelling them as there would be a high likelihood of hitting civilians.

The Ukrainian army has successfully used drones to launch precision attacks on the Russian troops.

This video is almost certainly recorded with a new drone. This latest DJI flagship drone was launched late last year and features a less-than-smooth hybrid zoom function where it combines the view from both the main wide-angle camera and the telephoto lens of the secondary camera.

Dji Mavic 3 Drone Review: Torn Between Two Opinions

As I showed in the second video below, zooming digitally in or out creates this jump in the footage as the drone is not able to smoothly go from one camera to the next. Modern smartphones do a much better job here.

The jump in the 28x hybrid zoom feature of the DJI Mavic 3 drone is almost a signature feature of the drone’s aerial footage. It more or less confirms that this footage comes from the DJI Mavic 3, the perfect spy drone for military applications.

Fyi – We have not been able to confirm the location and date of the recorded drone footage as of yet.

  1. Are you dumb? China gave Russia aeroscope and Russia is killing drone users! If a Ukrainian fires up a dji drone it pinpoints their location for the Russians

    • Why does Ukrainian military still buying DJI drones then?
I mean it is not like they haven’t heard about Russia/Aeroscope rumors.
