DJI releases the DJI Osmo Action 3 to capture your life “Beyond the Edge”

On the same day the new GoPro camera comes out, DJI introduces the DJI Osmo Action 3. It has an Extreme B for extended battery life and native support for vertical shooting. As you can see in the photos, the new design is a strong departure from the previous model.

DJI unveiled the Osmo Action 3, its most powerful and content-friendly action camera. The Osmo Action 3 is one of the most flexible, rugged, and dependable action cameras available today, with a battery that powers users through the harshest situations and native vertical shooting for a fresh perspective on creative freedom.

DJI Osmo Action 3 with extreme battery life

Osmo Action 3 was created as a one-stop shop for documenting an active lifestyle, no matter how daring. Everything begins with a 1770mAh Extreme Battery, which allows the camera to record for up to 160 minutes. [1] It can also withstand temperatures as low as -20° C (-4° F),[2] and charge from 0% to 80% in 18 minutes and 0% to 100% in 50 minutes,[3] owing to native fast-charging technology, a first for action cameras. In a world dominated by social media, a vertical-first approach to capturing captivating action is required, and the DJI Osmo Action 3 delivers. The camera incorporates an integrated mounting system that hooks the camera to handlebars, helmets, and other surfaces immediately and firmly, improving on the quick-release mechanism originally seen in Action 2 by adding notches for a locked-in, impact-resistant grip.

This quick-mounting solution is now available in a vertical configuration, ideal for social media platforms, thanks to a new Horizontal-Vertical Protective Frame. A Dynamic Imaging Powerhouse

To keep up with your fast-paced lifestyle, Osmo Action 3 is loaded with cutting-edge technology and software. Its 1/1.7-inch imaging system shoots in 4K/120fps, has a 155° super-wide field of view, and records smooth video with a world-class EIS suite.

Osmo Action 3 includes three separate electrical image stabilization solutions for a variety of dynamic shooting scenarios:

• Camera shaking is substantially eliminated in all directions with RockSteady 3.0. It supports 4K/120fps and offers a solid and immersive first-person experience. This is the best stabilization for sport-specific situations like bike riding and handheld filmmaking on the fly.
• HorizonSteady eliminates camera motion in all directions and even corrects tilt at any angle horizontally. This implies that film may stay horizontally level even after significant bumps and 360° rotations, producing the illusion of a flawless horizon without the need for post-production, even in off-kilter sports like surfing.
• HorizonBalancing corrects horizontal tilt within 45° and allows for the production of steady 4K/60fps films. This model is the appropriate compromise between RockSteady and HorizonSteady when the priority is a smooth 4K image in a dynamic environment, such as an FPV obstacle course run.
