The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and Ukraine’s intelligence agency (GUR) reportedly launched this joint operation targeting Russian military and logistics hubs in Novorossiysk and occupied Sevastopol. Admiral Sir Tony Radakin, head of the UK Armed Forces, stated that by February, 25% of Russia’s Black Sea Fleet had been sunk or damaged. Satellite images from April revealed Russia enhancing defenses at its Black Sea Fleet base in Novorossiysk and relocating most ships and submarines further east.
