The Drone-Based Drug Operation

The operation involved flying the drone to drop off fentanyl and other narcotics, with a middleman receiving the drugs at the church lot and distributing them to customers. Tragically, one of these customers, a woman, fatally overdosed.

Laney faces several serious charges, including distribution of fentanyl resulting in death, four counts of knowingly operating an unregistered aircraft for drug crimes, and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and fentanyl. If convicted on all counts, Laney could be looking at 25 years to life in prison.
