Gainesville Police Deploy Paladin Drone Response System

Paladin Drones has completed a three-day training and deployment program with the Gainesville Police Department, establishing new automated drone capabilities for public safety operations. The implementation, led by UAV Especialista Gregory Green, focused on system installation, testing, and hands-on flight training as part of the company’s expanding presence in the public safety sector.
Gainesville PD Launches Automated Police Drone Program
The training program centered on essential operational components including LTE connectivity, FAA compliance protocols, and system updates. Officers participated in hands-on flight training with real-world scenarios, working directly with the automated docking station infrastructure. Weather challenges during the deployment led the team to refine landing accuracy and adjust altitude settings.
The technical implementation included testing and optimizing docking station performance, conducting long-range BVLOS (Beyond Visual Line of Sight) flights, and ensuring proper system connectivity. All drones received final software updates before being cleared for operational deployment, establishing a foundation for Gainesville PD’s public safety drone operations.

Paladin Drones Is Growing
To support growing implementations like Gainesville PD’s program, Paladin is actively expanding their team across multiple locations. In Houston, Texas, the company is recruiting for technical positions including UAS Flight Testers and Robotics Software Engineers, with compensation reaching $65,000 for specialized roles. Their Charlotte, Carolina del Norte office is building out their commercial team with positions for UAS Demo Pilots, Regional Sales Directors, and Business Development Managers. The company is also expanding their engineering capabilities with senior robotics positions in Pune, India.
Through the three-day program, Gainesville PD personnel gained practical experience with the automated system while adhering to compliance requirements. The department can now integrate drone capabilities into their existing public safety workflow, leveraging automated deployment for enhanced response capabilities. With Paladin’s ongoing expansion in both technical and commercial teams, similar implementations are likely to increase across other public safety departments.
