ACSL Unveils New Thermal Camera for SOTEN Drone and Expands Advisory Board
ACSL, the leading Japanese drone maker, has announced a new thermal camera option for its SOTEN drone and the appointment of three advisory board members. The company aims to expand its presence in the US market, offering more choices and better customer support.
New Thermal Camera for SOTEN Drone
ACSL‘s new thermal camera features a Boson sensor with a resolution of 640×512. The camera is stabilized using a 3-axis gimbal and captures video at 640×512 @60 Hz. Additionally, it has an EO sensor that records 64MP photos and 4K video at 30 Hz. The thermal camera is designed to work seamlessly with SOTEN’s one-touch swappable camera system and will be available for purchase towards the end of 2024.
The thermal camera will be showcased at the Commercial UAV Show in Las Vegas from September 3-5, at booth #541. This new addition is expected to enhance the capabilities of ACSL’s drones, making them more versatile for various applications.
Expansion of Advisory Board
ACSL has also appointed three industry experts to its advisory board: Ron Lopez, President of Astroscale U.S. Inc., Stanley McHann, CTO at Sparkmeter, and Romeo Durscher, a long-time Industria de los drones veteran with prior leadership roles at NASA and DJI. These experts bring a wealth of experience to ACSL, guiding the company as it grows its clientele and evolves its product offerings.
Cynthia Huang, CEO of ACSL Inc., expressed her enthusiasm about the new developments:
“ACSL has significant momentum this year already, and the introduction of our new thermal camera and new advisory board continue to show our dedication to the US market. Our advisors’ collective wealth of experience across the many facets of the UAS and adjacent industries will be an incredible asset, guiding us as we expand our footprint and continue to improve our product and service offerings.”
Romeo Durscher, one of the new advisory board members, praised ACSL’s approach to the market:
“The US drone industry is in need of more choices, and more importantly, more manufacturers who genuinely care and listen to their customer base. ACSL has entered the market and made steady progress to address customer feedback. I’ve been blown away by their go to market approach, the responsiveness of their R&D team, and the tangible improvements they have made good on in less than a year. From feature updates to their recent smart controller to now the new thermal payload, it’s clear that ACSL believes in focusing on what matters, listening to and delivering a solid product to those who need it most in our industry.”
