DJI Mavic Mini 2 rumored to have 4K video, 12MP sensor. DJI FPV possibly delayed

A new rumor suggests that the DJI Mavic Mini 2 will indeed have 4K video and a 12MP sensor. In the same tweet, it was also mentioned that the DJI FPV drone might be delayed. Something we already hinted to in this earlier post.

DJI Mavic Mini 2 rumored to have 4K video, 12MP sensor. DJI FPV possibly delayed

Tonight in a tweet, OsitaLV said that the DJI Mavic Mini 2 is rumored to have 4K video recording capabilities and also a 12MP sensor. We are not sure if this will be the same sensor as in the current DJI Mavic Mini which also features a 1/2.3” CMOS with 12MP.  Either way, it seems clear that we can expect better video quality at a 4K resolution, which is a big step up from the current Mavic Mini that ‘only’ provides 2.7K video resolution.

We assume that the DJI Mavic Mini will not gain any weight and will still come in below 250 grams. We also expect the Mavic Mini 2 to be similarly competitively priced as the outgoing model. Lastly, we do not expect any major changes to the design or form factor of this small unmanned aircraft.

Considering the expected price, size, and weight of the DJI Mavic Mini 2 means that this little drone will punch above its weight class.

We are very excited to see the DJI Mavic Mini 2 coming to the market before the Q4 holiday shopping season. This drone is the perfect unmanned aircraft to introduce anybody to this exciting hobby and possibly career path.

One more thing, seems like the FPV drone will be postponed and it may not be able to arrive in time.
