In the Clear Creek Reservoir State Wildlife Area in Colorado, Recherche et sauvetage teams are searching with the help of a drone for a teenager who disappeared after his canoe capsized. Crews rushed to the scene on Saturday night near Buena Vista.

On Sunday morning, the search and rescue teams returned. Officers from Colorado Parks and Wildlife say the student from Buena Vista High School was riding with a friend hunting ducks. Witnesses told officers that before 5 p.m., strong wind gusts blew their vessel over.

Officers said that one boy’s mother and the other boy’s father were on the beach. The father swam to the canoe, saving one of the boys, reports 4 CBS Denver. It was estimated that the water was between 30 and 50 feet deep.

Several organizations, including a Specialist CPW Marine Evidence Recovery Team from Littleton, are helping to search for the child. A drone fitted with sonar, lights and a video camera is being used by teams.
