DJI FPV Goggles V2 and DJI FPV Remote Controller 2 confirmed in FCC filings

Les DJI FPV Goggles V2 and DJI FPV Remote Controller 2 have been confirmed in FCC filings that were made public just minutes ago. FCC filings can now be released much closer to the actual launch date of a new product, meaning that there is a very good chance that we will see the new DJI PFV Drone come to the market before the Holiday Shopping season kicks off (if it hasn’t already).
DJI FPV Goggles V2 and DJI FPV Remote Controller 2 confirmed in FCC filings
We have already seen many photos and other bits of information leaked about the upcoming release of the DJI FPV Drone, however, an Dépôt auprès de la FCC that is made public removes any lingering doubts if there were any.
DJI will very likely release the new DJI FPV Drone during this Holiday Shopping season and in time for Christmas. This will make a lot of drone enthusiasts happy and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) nervous as this new fpv drone is rumored to fly up to 90 mph!
While the DJI FPV Goggles don’t seem to be any different, they are referred to as the DJI FPV Goggles V2 in the FCC filings. This indicates that they are in fact different from the original DJI FPV Goggles. I would guess that this might have to do with the video transmission quality and latency, but it is impossible to know for sure without seeing the specs.
As far as the DJI FPV Remote Controller 2 goes. Well, we know that one looks very different from any DJI controller we have seen in the past. It has more in common with a Sony Playstation gaming controller than anything else. It is hard to know for sure without trying it first hand, but I suspect that the new DJI FPV Remote Controller 2 might actually work really well. Especially if you’re used to playing video games.
Back in 2019, DJI announced that as of 1-1-2020, all new DJI drones weighing more than 250 grams would have ADS-B built-in. It will be interesting to see if that safety feature will be included n the new DJI FPV Drone. When comparing the drone to the size of the goggles, it seems that this fpv drone would easily weigh more than 250 grams. And, the ADS-B warning signal could be displayed inside the goggles So, based on this information it seems that the DJI FPV Drone should come with the ADS-B In safety feature to warn you of nearby manned aircraft if they have an active ADS-B Out signal.
