What if the DJI FPV drone would offer a 3D flying experience?

What if the yet-to-be-released DJI FPV drone would offer a 3D flying experience for the drone pilot? As in viewing the world form above in 3D with those new DJI Goggles V2. Wouldn’t that be cool? Today, Mr. D. asked me that question, and my initial reaction was, no way… However, the more I thought about it, the more it started to make sense.
What if the DJI FPV drone would offer a 3D flying experience?
When you look at what we originally thought to be two obstacle avoidance sensors and imagine that these are in fact two cameras that provide a 3D visual experience when used with the DJI FPV Goggles V2. Imagine how that would take FPV drone flying to a whole new level.
The two ‘cameras’ seem to be wider apart than the obstacle avoidance sensors on let’s say a DJI Mavic 2 Pro and could resemble the distance between your eyes.
The goggles should make it relatively easy for DJI to create a 3D experience. And this way, the world’s largest drone maker could bring something truly new to the otherwise saturated FPV drone market.
To be honest, once this idea took hold in my mind, it is hard to put it away. Of course I run the risk of being disappointed when these two cameras on the DJI FPV drone turn out to be merely obstacle avoidance sensors…
Let me know what you think in the comments below. Is it crazy to think that DJI might actually create a 3D FPV flying experience or do you think we’re on to something?
It would surely offer a whole new way of seeing the world from above!

It just takes two cameras for a 3D stereo view, for left & right eye view streams. There’s a 3D video that alternates views on a single screen https://youtu.be/MG7H01iqYf8?t=121 . Some binoculars have wider separation than eyes–I suppose you could even have the cameras on different drones. The view separation / parallax will probably change how distant an object looks and maybe its apparent size.
Nah, wouldn’t work unless you were really close to stuff. And you’re typically going fast enough that the stereo is apparent anyway.
I have flown the dji fpv drone in Liftoff simulator and cannot get the dji fpv drone to hover inverted nor can I get it to fly around inverted for any length of time in free style nor in free flight mode. Has anyone flown it as a 3-D drone without changing to symmetric propellors or esc or motors. I have just ordered the dji fpv drone combo today.
