DJI Motion Controller shows up in FCC filings!

Today in the FCC filings a new DJI product showed up. The DJI Motion Controller obviously will control the motion of some other DJI product. The question is what product will that be? A gimbal? A drone?

DJI Motion Controller shows up in FCC filings!

Today, newly released FCC filings (FCC ID: SS3-FC7BMC2011) show the DJI Motion Controller. One of the graphics in the documentation shows part of the new DJI device and the location of the FCC label. It is hard to really understand what part of the device we’re looking at, but it seems like it might be a grip of some kind.

At this point, the question is, for what product did DJI develop the DJI Motion Controller. Is it a remote controller to control the motion of a camera or gimbal? Or is this device meant to control the movements of a DJI drone? And if so with which DJI drones will this new device work?

According to the filing model FC7BMC will have the ability to work in 2.4G and 5G 4 frequency bands: 5150~5250MHz, 5250~5350MHz, 5470~5725MHz, 5725~5850MHz.

Could this be an indication that the DJI Contrôleur de mouvement works in combination with a drone?

Recently, FCC filings for DJI products have been made public right before the actual launch of said new product. With the FCC filings showing up today, it seems that we will see the DJI Contrôleur de mouvement come to market shortly, i.e. in the next few weeks.

As you can see in the graphics below, the DJI Contrôleur de mouvement is model FC7BMC, Made in Chine, and has a 3.6V, 2600mAh, 9.36Wh battery.

We will dig through the rest of the filing documents and update this post if we come across anything new.
