EASA Seeks Insights from Drone Manufacturers

Les European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has initiated its first survey targeting unmanned aircraft system (UAS) manufacturers, encompassing both drones and kits. This crucial step aims to gather comprehensive data on current trends and anticipated growth within the EU’s civil drone market.

Objective of the Survey

The survey’s primary objective is to amass information that will significantly contribute to the future development of regulatory materials on UAS. EASA‘s focus extends to manufacturers involved in designing drones and kits, including supplementary systems like parachutes and flight termination systems.

Participation Deadline and Process

EASA is urging all relevant manufacturers to participate in the survey by February 9, 2024. Drone and kit manufacturers are encouraged to provide their valuable inputs through the provided link, playing a pivotal role in shaping the regulations that will govern the evolving drone domain in the European Union.
