Aging DJI Inspire 2 will be discontinued in February. Will we see an Inspire 3 in 2022?
We received word that the DJI Inspire 2 will be officially discontinued as of February 2022. The DJI announcement was shared by various people on social media.
Currently, the DJI Inspire 2 base model that sells for US$3,299 is listed as out of stock on the official DJI website.
The higher-priced models that come with an X5S or X7 camera are still available.
The official announcement from DJI was shared on January 26 with DJI resellers and industry partners.
The message said about the DJI Inspire 2, “the following products are expected to be sold out in February 2022 the sales will be stopped immediately.”
DJI Inspire 2 camera system shows its age
The DJI Inspire 2 was the successor of the DJI inspire I. While the Inspire 2 was a reliable quadcopter, the Zenmuse X5S and X7 cameras, sensors and lenses started to show their age and are due to be replaced.
The question on everybody’s minds right now is, will we see a new DJI Inspire 3 in 2022.
On the PIXL Drone Show, we recently interviewed Curran Daly from DJI who did seem to indicate that new DJI drone models will be launched this year.
Let us know what you think about the DJI Inspire 2 reaching its end of life and the possibility of a DJI Inspire 3 being launched in this calendar year.
What features and improvements would you like to see in a DJI Inspire 3 drone?

Good info in the article. I’m new to the drone flying community, no experience as of yet, but I am researching the info on learning about flying drones.
