140 DJI Mini drones to be hand-delivered to the military in Ukraine by Finnish trio
Three Finnish friends got into action after having learned that the Ukraine Defense Forces were in need of drones. They are now on their way to deliver 140 DJI Mini drones to the Ukrainian military to help in the fight against Russia.
The trio raised more than $57,000 and used the funds to get their hands on 140 DJI Mini drones. They packed the sub-250-gram drones into backpacks and suitcases, and are on their way to Poland to deliver the reconnaissance UAS to the Ukrainian military and defense forces.
“140 drones landed with us to Poland, now on its way to Ukrainian military to help with reconnaissance upon their urgent request,” said one of the Finnish friends, Henri Lindroos on Instagram. “52 000 euros worth of equipment ready to be sent to the frontlines of an independent nation that is fighting for its existence.”
Together the friends worked hard to raise the necessary funds and they worked through the night to charge and pack the DJI Mini drones.
“We received the phone call at midnight to pick up, charge and pack the drones in @dojohelsinki, and we worked through the night to get it done.”
Earlier this week the Ukrain Ministry of Defense had asked on Facebook for anybody who had access to drones to make them available for use by the military.
The three Finnish friends took that message to heart and made it happen. They are hand delivering the DJI Mini drones to the military and defense forces in Ukraine.

Not all heroes wear capes! Congrats! Are they Minis or Mini 2s?
But what happens if the Chinese government, which is sympathetic to the Russian government decides to pressure DJI to make all of Ukraine an NFZ?
Not to mention China collecting and then sharing any data collected from all of the Dji drones, for example pictures video location and telemetry date and time… That is what the USA is worried about DJI sharing pictures of certain government facilities with China government.
DJI financed by China ,
China supports Russia
and I hope Ukrainian military personal aware of that , China could easily trace back where those drones take off and operated and share the with Russian counterpart …….
