Gremsy Zio a 4K 30x zoom camera that is MAVLink-compatible

Gremsy, a company that makes gimbals and stabilizers, has released its first camera payload for customers in the professional market. It is called the Gremsy Zio and features a 30x optical-digital zoom camera and has mechanical stabilization. Sony‘s 4K sensor is included in the Zio for video recording.

The payload is compatible with MAVLink. Live video streaming through HDMI or Ethernet is an option.

Gremsy’s Zio focuses on users who utilize drones for public safety, inspections, and surveys.

It is the company’s first camera payload; up to this point, Gremsy has solely produced gimbals for other manufacturers of cameras.

Zio is an integrated payload that includes a Sony 4K sensor and a three-axis gimbal stabilization system made by Gremsy.

The camera has a zoom range of 30x, of which 12x is digital, and 20x is optical. There is just a 480-gram payload.

Compatibility

Zio is completely MAVLink compatible, allowing for seamless integration with drones running PX4 or Ardupilot.

From the controller, the Zio gives users sophisticated control over the camera and gimbal. The payload may be readily altered thanks to the Gremsy Quick Release.

It can shoot video and photos with a high resolution of 4K and a high level of stability thanks to the Sony 4K 1/2.5″ Exmor R CMOS sensor.

When utilizing QGroundControl, it is also feasible to live broadcast the captured pictures through HDMI or Ethernet.

Price and availability of the Gremsy Zio camera

Starting in the middle of December 2022, the Zio will be offered in Gremsy’s online shop. The suggested retail price for the camera is $4,699, but for a brief period, it is available for $4,229, which is less than the suggested retail price.
