Drone Helps Culver City Police Catch Car Burglar in Late-Night Search

In a swift demonstration of ‘s law enforcement capabilities, Culver City Department successfully used a drone to locate a suspect involved in a vehicle break-in, as reported by Patch.

Quick Response to Late-Night Break-in

The incident occurred around 2:40 a.m. Thursday when residents reported hearing glass breaking on the 5500 block of Kinston Avenue. Officers quickly responded and confirmed a vehicle had been vandalized.

Drone Technology Proves Its Worth

After establishing a perimeter, officers deployed their drone unit, which proved crucial in the search operation. The aerial support quickly spotted one of the suspects attempting to evade detection by hiding beneath a vehicle near the intersection of Overland Avenue and Clarmon Place.

“The drone found one of the suspects hiding under a car,” the police department stated, highlighting the technology’s effectiveness in nighttime operations. A second suspect remains at large.
