Zenit St Petersburg had a smart idea to deliver the Soccer Player of the Month award to Brazilian Malcom. They decided to use a drone so that the delivery could be made without breaking any social distancing guidelines, according to The Independent.

According to the news outlet, Malcom received almost 30% of the fan vote to pick up the award for March after Zenit build a nine-point lead at the top of the Russian Premier League standings before the season was suspended due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Like many other 国名, ロシア is currently in a lockdown and the soccer league is suspended until May 31st. Delivering the award by drone proved to be the safest way and allowed the former Barcelona winger to stay safely in his apartment.

“I’ve just received a message that I need to open a window,” Malcom said in a video.

In the video, you can see the drone flying through the open window into the apartment. A cat watches curiously but decides to get out of the way in the last moment as the drone enters the building.

At the end of the video, Malcom thanks the fans and says: “Stay at home, it’s important.”
