Drone interferes with helicopters fighting Cameron Peak Fire
On Saturday a drone interfered with helicopters that were involved in fighting the Cameron Peak fire in コロラド州. As part of the fire fighting efforts, helicopters were dropping water in the Pingree Park area when they were forced to stop because of an illegally flown drone.

The Cameron Peak fire has been burning since August 13 and covers about 208,913 acres and is considered 92% contained. 消防士 are using heavy equipment as well as helicopters dropping loads of water to put out the remaining parts of the wildfire.
According to a Sunday morning briefing on the Cameron Peak fire, about 20 loads of water had been dropped by helicopters before “a drone was discovered to be flying over the fire area.”
It is illegal to interfere with firefighting operations with a drone. On Sunday fire officials urged everybody not to fly unmanned aircraft in the area as it hinders their ability to fight the 山火事, reports the Loveland Reporter-Herald.
“Please stay safe and help us stay safe,” fire officials said in a written briefing on Sunday morning.
