Goose hunting with drones results in crash with DJI Mavic

Check out this somewhat dramatic video in which you can see how someone uses a DJI Mavic drone to go goose hunting in Sweden. The maker of the video claims that the goose won and flew away after crashing into the drone. Miraculously, the drone survived the crash as well and was able to limp back home.

The maker of the video (and goose hunter), Kristofer Hanson had the following to say about the crash:

Goose hunting is my work and I hunt almost every day to protect the large scale damage on crops. But sometimes to save time I chase them away with drones. Very effective BUT sometimes it goes bad for the drones (never for the geese). I crashed many times and watch the film.

Apart from the question of chasing geese with a drone is an acceptable way to get rid of these birds, it is impressive that the DJI drone survives the full frontal impact of a goose a high-speed and that the unmanned aerial device is still able to fly back home. It seems that the prop guards that were installed on the DJI Mavic might have helped to keep the drone airborne and possibly even protected the goose.
