Chinese eVTOL Leader EHang Secures $22M Investment to Advance Urban Air Mobility

EHang Holdings Limited, the world’s leading Urban Air Mobility (UAM) technology platform company, has secured a strategic investment of over $22 million from two key investors.

Key Investment Details

Zhuhai Enpower Electric, a leading Chinese new energy vehicle power systems provider, and a UAE-based strategic institutional investor have naar verluidt both committed to the investment with a 180-day lock-up period. This brings EHang’s total financing for 2024 to nearly $100 million.

UAE Market Expansion

The UAE has emerged as one of EHang’s largest international markets, with an impressive order book of 100 EVTOL aircraft units. Five of these units have already been delivered, demonstrating real-world market traction. The UAE-based investor will help facilitate EHang’s expansion into other Middle Eastern and Southeast Asian markets.

Strategic Partnership Benefits

Enpower’s investment comes with a significant technological collaboration angle. The companies will jointly develop high-performance electric motor drive systems for EHang’s eVTOL aircraft, potentially advancing their capabilities and efficiency.
