Ukraine’s Drones Target Moscow: Over 30 Flights Suspended

In a significant escalation, ‘s drones have targeted Moscow, leading to the suspension of more than 30 flights and causing damage to residential buildings. According to Reuters, Russian officials reported shooting down at least 15 drones around Moscow overnight, with one woman killed and several buildings set on fire.

The attacks resulted in fires in multi-story residential buildings and the suspension of flights at key airports, including Domodedovo and Zhukovo. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin stated on Telegram that emergency crews were dispatched to several sites across the region.

Wider Impact in Russia

The drone strikes weren’t limited to Moscow. Over 60 drones were also downed in ‘s southwestern region of Bryansk and the Lipetsk region, according to regional governors. Fortunately, no damage or casualties were reported in these areas.
