Part 107 and Skydio 2 Giveaway

Contrary to some others, we do recognize the value of Part 107 certified drone pilots, who know how to fly a drone manually to get smooth cinematic shots or to prevent a fly-away by quickly switching the drone into a fully manual mode.

To promote pilotos de drones becoming Part 107 certified, DroneXL and Drone U have teamed up again to give away 20 Part 107 online courses for one month each. That should give any drone pilot enough time to study for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) exam and get their Part 107 certificate.

To get your attention and to sweeten the deal, we will throw in a Skydio 2 drone with a remote controller and a spare battery for free. The Skydio 2 drone is an amazing piece of drone tech, however, it’s obstacle avoidance system will always overrule the Pilot in Command, even when flown ‘fully’ manually. Something that seems to contradict the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) drone rules for flying under Part 107. So, in case you end up ‘winning’ the Skydio 2 drone, we would recommend that you fly it only recreationally and not commercially, which is still a lot of fun.

Furthermore, we know that many of you are still waiting for your Skydio 2 drones to be delivered so that we thought it would be a nice gesture to throw one in for free.
