Yesterday, an Israelian DJI Matrice 100 drone came down in Lebanese territory. It is unclear if the DJI drone simply fell from the sky as the Israeli military would like you to believe or whether it was brought down by Hezbollah.

Israelian DJI Matrice 100 drone comes down in Lebanese territory

Reuters reported on a DJI Matrice 100, also known as the quadcopter for developers as it allows for relatively easy modification, that had come down after entering Lebanese airspace. There seem to be contradicting reports on how the unmanned aircraft came down. the Israeli military simply said the M1 came down, whereas Lebanon’s Hezbollah claims that it brought down the drone.

In a statement carried by al-Manar television, Hezbollah said that it is now in control of the DJI drone. According to the Israeli military, the drone had fallen in Lebanese territory during a drone operation near the border demarcation, also known as the blue line. The military added that there had been “no breach of information.”

Looking closely at the photos you can clearly see the DJI name and logo displayed on the drone. The branding is visible on the props, sensor, and connector. The arms also display the M1 logo which is indicative of the Matrice 100.
