DJI Osmo Mobile 7: The Next Big Thing in Mobile Gimbals

In the ever-evolving tech realm, surprises abound. The latest twist? The discovery of the 7 (DJI OM 7) in the DJI Mimo app.

The DJI OM 7 would be the newest addition to DJI’s mobile gimbal lineup. For those unfamiliar, mobile gimbals are gadgets that steady your smartphone, ensuring smooth, cinematic-quality videos.

The DJI Mimo app, in its recent update (version 1.10.4), discreetly hints at the OM 7, particularly concerning its playback feature. This clue, combined with another mention of the previously leaked DJI Pocket 3, left tech enthusiasts buzzing.

“A yet-to-be-released mobile gimbal from DJI,” DroneNR reports. “A surprising find as there has been very little talk of the upcoming gimbal, and a lack of leaks that we come to expect with the launch of a new DJI product.”

Historically, DJI products tend to make a splash before their official release. But the OM 7 seems to be an exception. Apart from a singular mention back in January 2023 by leaker, DealsDrone, details have been scanty. So, what can we expect?

Here’s a little sleuthing for context: The predecessor, DJI Osmo Mobile 6 (OM 6), was unveiled on September 22nd, 2022. If DJI keeps with tradition, we might witness the DJI OM 7’s debut before the year’s end. Some speculate its release might coincide with the Pro’s launch.

However, an important regulatory step is still pending. We have yet to see the Mobile 7 show up in the FCC database. Usually, DJI products, such as the DJI Mini 4 Pro, for example, are published by the FCC a couple of weeks before their U.S. release.

To sum it up, while the OM 7 remains shrouded in mystery, the excitement is palpable. For more Rumores sobre a DJI, follow the unfolding story at DroneXL.

  1. Their gimbals never really get much leakage news nearly because they are a cheap iterative upgrade, not overly news worthy compared to say a £500 camera or £800-£20k drones, they don’t even have product launch dates just quietly released
