The San Francisco Polícia Department (SFPD) is showcasing impressive results from their drone program, with aerial units often arriving at crime scenes before ground officers, according to a recent report by CBS News.

In a compelling demonstration, SFPD shared footage of their drones catching a bicycle theft in progress.

“This drone deployed immediately to the area and quickly saw that this person was actually exiting this tradesmen entrance with a bicycle,” explained an SFPD officer during the presentation.

The suspect was later seen stealing a second bicycle while police coordinated the arrest from above.
