For the third time this spring, large-scale drones outfitted with thermal imaging sensors were utilized to rescue fawns in, Graubünden, Switzerland. In 2021, 140 more animals were saved than in the previous year.

According to the Office for Hunting and Fisheries, 24 drones were used for each mowing day in Graubünden, Switzerland. From the end of May to the beginning of July, about 1300 missions were flown, and 476 fawns may have been spared from mowing.
