Alta X drone from FreeFly Systems now added to Blue sUAS 2.0 program
Сайт FreeFly Systems’ Alta X drone is now the second drone, after the senseFly eBee TAC, to be approved and added to the Blue sUAS 2.0 program.
When the Blue sUAS program was originally announced in August 2020, it was exclusively dedicated to short-range surveillance activities.

The Blue sUAS 2.0 program now includes the following drone models:
- FreeFly Alta X
- Sensefly eBee TAC
- Skydio X2D
- FLIR ION M440
- Parrot Anafi USA GOV
- Parrot Anafi USA MIL

- Vantage Robotics Vesper
Alta X drone added to Blue sUAS
Сайт FreeFly Systems‘ Alta X drone is a quadcopter that has been designed and manufactured in the Соединенные Штаты. It is a foldable drone that can be deployed in less than 20 seconds and can be set up with various third-party payloads, such as gimbaled EO/IR, mapping, LiDAR, and drop/delivery capabilities.
The Alta X can carry a maximum payload of 35 pounds, or 12.5 pounds to stay below the 55-pound weight limit. The drone can stay airborne for approximately 50 minutes and can be flown in all weather conditions.
