Kentucky Manhunt: Drones Aid Search for Highway Shooter

A rural community in Kentucky is on high alert as authorities continue their search for a suspect involved in a highway shooting spree that left five people seriously wounded. A phone was also found, but its battery was removed. Deputy Gilbert Acciardo, a spokesman for the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office, confirmed that all five victims were in stable condition and expected to survive.

Officials believe that the attack was planned but that the individuals were not targeted. The motive for the shooting remains unclear, but Deputy Acciardo described Mr. Couch as “committed” to his plan. The authorities are unsure if he has supplies or additional weapons in the wilderness where they believe he is hiding.
