Parrot ANAFI USA – All you need to know

Today Папуга officially launches the ANAFI USA, a new drone that is specifically marketed for Служби швидкого реагування and enterprise professionals. The drone offers 32x zoom, thermal imaging, a much stronger airframe, and advanced Data Security.

Two years ago, Папуга introduced the insect-inspired lightweight ANAFI. Shortly thereafter, the French drone maker introduced the ANAFI Thermal to better cater to the professional drone market.

The original ANAFI was easy to fly, fast to deploy, very portable, and had a unique gimbal camera setup that allowed you to look upward. However, it was also fragile and limited in its flights by using a WiFi connection between the drone and the remote controller.

With the launch of the ANAFI USA, Parrot smartly plays into its strengths and instead of competing head-on with industry giant, DJI, the French drone maker focusses on very specific market segments, i.e. the military, Поліція.– and fire departments, first responders and other enterprise professionals.

The ANAFI USA really is a drone unlike anything else on the market right now.

The only two main drawbacks, I can find so far are:

• WiFi transmission so limited operational range (2.5 miles)
• No obstacle avoidance

I think the new Parrot ANAFI USA right now is the ideal drone for first responders around the world and it will be exciting to see more people’s lives saved with help from drones. This new drone also puts the ball back in DJI’s court and I wonder who they will respond.
