Ukrainian drone chases Russian soldier back to his unit

Check out this video in which a Ukrainian drone chases a Russian soldier back to his unit. Apparently, the Russian soldier spotted the drone from the Ukrainian military and started running away.

Obviously, the soldier was no match for the drone, as it was able to chase him all the way back to Russian positions.

Once he reached his unit, the Russian soldiers apparently opened fire on the unmanned aircraft.

The Russian unit was Як повідомляється. ‘effectively targeted’ by the Ukrainian artillery.

On Twitter, folks pointed out that running away from a drone makes little sense.

“Goodness. He didn’t invoke a drop of stealth. Who in the world runs out in the open back to base with a drone following?” one person said.

Drones have played a significant role to the advantage of the Ukrainian defense forces as they are defending their country from the Russian invasion.

However, never before have we seen a Ukrainian drone literally chase a Russian soldier down the road.

“Thanks to the Russian runner, a strong point, an infantry fighting vehicle, several vehicles and personnel were destroyed,” tweeted TPYXA, followed up by another tweet with photos that show the destroyed Russian position.

  1. It shows the severe lack of training on the part of the Russians. Running back to his unit gives the Ukrainians a spot on target for artillery fire. Bunch of Russian dummies.

  2. At least the path taken by the Russian soldier is clear of landmines. As far as his running away, drones can have an explosive charge as payload. And, standing still also makes for better targets. Remember the Afghans who stop to look after one of their own is dropped by a sniper.
