DJI Mavic 4 canceled features, RC Pro 2 vertical screen, prices, new promo pictures and boxes spotted

As we learned yesterday, the DJI Mavic 4 is becoming the world most leaked drone in human existence. I’ll make this a quick update showing you some exclusive promo images, new pricing, the boxes of the DJI Mavic 4 and RC Pro 2 while we dive deeper canceled features and take a look at that new remote that accompanies the Creator Combo. Canceled features on the Mavic 4.

I’ve seen over 100 pictures since the first rumors and we aren’t even done yet. Every featured detail have now been rumored, revealed and lately debunked or confirmed. While we are all still a bit numb from yesterdays leak, first I want to talk about some bad news. Because there isn’t any way around this, and people are understandably disappointed. I’ll sum up everything I know:

• There will be be no Cine version of the Mavic 4 Pro. No ProRes. (As mentioned by my friend OsitaLV and the information being absent from the spec list I shared yesterday)
• The image sensors aren’t physically bigger than the previous DJI Mavic 3. With a ‘only’ a 28mm Hasselblad camera (4/3 CMOS), 70mm Medium Tele camera (1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor), and a 168 mm Tele camera (1/1.5-inch CMOS sensor).
• I was disappointed to hear that the DJI RC TRACK will not return with the DJI Mavic 4. BUT the tracking functions will be available on the DJI RC Pro 2 by using the new scroll wheel beneath the screen.
• No Electronic ND-Фільтри available at launch date. They are in the webshops but not seen in the combo’s of testers and dealers. They are on the webshop lists though, so they will probably be available later in May.

Foldable Remote Controller with High-Brightness 7-Inch Rotating Screen

As we learned yesterday, the DJI Mavic 4 PRO 512GB Creator Combo will come with the new “DJI RC Pro 2, featuring a foldable design that turns the screen on or off when unfolded or folded. The joysticks remain attached, conveniently rising and retracting with the screen. The 7-inch Mini-LED screen delivers stunning visuals and effortlessly switches the drone’s gimbal to portrait mode with a simple rotation.”

A good source of mine send me this picture of the RC Pro 2 quick start manual. Again confirming the remote will automatically turn on when you ‘extend the arm’ of the screen. A fun gimmick will be that the drone’s gimbal will automatically switch to vertical (portrait) mode if you turn the screen. I wonder if it can also turn 360 degrees just like the gimbal?

Release imminent, boxes already spotted.

With the old release day set on April 24th and a hurricane of leaks, I am guessing you won’t be surprised if I also show you the official boxes of the DJI Mavic 4 Pro and the DJI RC Pro 2. Both have been photographed in stores around the world. A special shout out to Sebastian Fernandez who spotted this M4P box first this morning. Release date and prices

Last but not least my friend Hakasushi found some updated European pricing yesterday. On tuesday the 13th of May, DJI will be selling the cheapest DJI Mavic 4 Pro (64GB 4G) combo in at €2189 (Yes, that’s in Європа, nobody at this point understands Trump trade wars),
the DJI Mavic 4 Fly More combo (64 GB, 4g, 3 batt, 64GB 100W charger) at €2899. and
the Mavic 4 Pro Creator Combo (512GB RC Pro 2, 3 batt, 245W charger, hub, bag) at €3849.
