Inside DJI’s Design Process: Sneak Peek into DJI Drone Prototypes and New HQ
In the realm of Drone Technology, DJI is paving the way, and we recently got a glimpse of its inner workings. Two intriguing sets of images were shared on Twitter by Quadro_News, showcasing design studies of the DJI Avata cinewhoop drone and its headquarters in Shenzhen, China.
The first set of images is design sketches of the DJI Avata. These shots, taken in a meeting room, offer a behind-the-scenes look into DJI’s design process. Various design studies are taped to a glass wall, and the conference table in the center holds an assortment of drones, including DJI Avata prototypes and a DJI FPV Drone.
The second image is a photo featuring multiple drone drawings and two DJI Avata prototypes. The photo captures a hand mid-sketch, hinting at the continuous innovation at DJI. Surprisingly, these images suggest DJI begins its design process with traditional pencil and paper sketches before transitioning to more modern, computer-aided design systems.
Quadro_News also posted four illustrations of DJI’s new headquarters. One of the drawings depicts a design strikingly similar to the final plan, providing us with an insight into DJI’s vision for their new home.
