Drone Developer Swarm Aero Finds New Home in Arkansas

Swarm Aero, a leading developer of large uncrewed aerial vehicle (UAV) swarms, has selected Northwest Arkansas as the site for its advanced, high-volume manufacturing of drones. The company’s decision comes after a nationwide search surveying potential locations in over 20 states.

Swarm Aero chose Northwest for its robust skilled labor force, vibrant community, and attractive business environment. “Rogers was the perfect place for us. The facilities were great, the community was welcoming, and we felt very much wanted here,” said Danny Goodman, Co-Founder and CEO of Swarm Aero.

The company was founded to provide the U.S. Armed Forces and allies with cutting-edge defense capabilities to meet requirements for the Pacific Theater. Swarm Aero’s swarming technology, leveraging and autonomy, offers new use cases for UAVs and helps save lives by keeping servicemen and women out of harm’s way.

The Role of Northwest Arkansas in Swarm Aero’s Mission

Northwest Arkansas plays a critical role in Swarm Aero’s mission as the future home of its advanced manufacturing center. The company, headquartered in Oxnard, CA, has established an office in Rogers, AR and is working with local community leaders and real estate groups to plan its new production facility.

The Arkansas location will be designed for high-rate production with significant investment in advanced manufacturing technologies. Once at full production, it will employ a large force of engineers and technicians.
