DJI Neo Gets Major Speed Boost: Firmware Update Doubles Tracking Performance

DJI has rolled out a significant for the drone, introducing compatibility with new hardware and several feature enhancements aimed at improving the overall flying experience. The update, released on November 6, 2024, brings the Neo firmware to version V01.00.0400.

The latest update introduces support for N3, expanding the Neo’s compatibility with DJI’s First Person View (FPV) ecosystem. Users of both the N3 and Goggles 3 will benefit from added liveview stabilization, providing a smoother viewing experience during flight.

The update also enhances the mobile app control experience with new features:

  • Full-screen manual control support
  • Control stick mode switching in settings
  • Audio recording capability when using RC-N3 or RC-N2 controllers
  • Adjustable noise reduction for more natural ambient sound recording

DJI has also optimized the drone’s positioning performance and increased flight speed during tracking operations, suggesting improved reliability for autonomous flight modes.
