DJI Mini 4 Pro: Exciting Glimpses and Speculations

A buzz has recently filled the drone community thanks to Igor Bogdanov, better known as @Quadro_News. He’s been releasing snapshots and clips believed to be of the latest innovation from 大疆创新, the 迷你 4 Pro.

With the excitement comes a natural question: Isn’t it too early for DJI to roll out another drone just over a year after the 大疆迷你 3 Pro’s debut?

Yet, this isn’t new for DJI. Recall the 大疆迷你 2‘s arrival, which came roughly a year after introducing the original DJI Mavic Mini. The Chinese drone giant seems to be keen on keeping fans on their toes!

From the sneak peeks, the 大疆迷你 4 Pro’s design appears strikingly similar to its predecessor, the 迷你 3 Pro. This similarity suggests the upgrades will likely all be internal.

We could be looking at enhanced video transmission with the possible inclusion of the DJI OcuSync 4.0 or O4, a feature showcased in the recent 大疆创新 Air 3.

Furthermore, we would expect photo and video quality enhancements, such as higher resolution, increased bit rates, better obstacle avoidance, increased flight time, and possibly a sprinkle of fresh, intelligent features.

One standout feature that will surely remain constant is the drone’s weight. Maintaining a weight under 250 grams would mean the 大疆迷你 4 Pro could avoid certain drone regulations. For American drone fliers, this translates to no mandatory registration if the drone is used recreationally.

Given the increasing volume of leaks surrounding the 大疆迷你 4 Pro, predictions lean towards an official introduction of this mini drone just in time for the year-end shopping rush. Most are banking on a September or October release.

Another significant hint of the drone’s imminent arrival would be its mention in the FCC database.
