The highly anticipated DJI Avata 2 FPV drone is set to launch on April 11, 2024, but pricing information has already been leaked by electronics retailer Abt Electronics. The leak, first reported by insider Jasper Ellens on X (formerly Twitter), reveals the cost of the Avata 2 and its accessories.

According to the leaked information, the 2 will be available in two configurations:

  • Avata 2 Fly More Combo (Single Battery): $999
  • Avata 2 Drone Only: $489

The Fly More Combo likely includes additional accessories and batteries, making it a more comprehensive package for FPV enthusiasts.

In addition to the drone itself, Abt Electronics also leaked the prices of the Avata 2’s accessories:

The DJI Goggles 3 are expected to feature front-facing cameras for a “Real View PiP” mode, allowing users to see their surroundings without removing the headset. The FPV Remote Controller 3 and RC Motion 3 will provide users with precise control over the Avata 2 drone.

DJI Avata 2 Specifications

The DJI Avata 2 is rumored to boast impressive specifications, including a 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor capable of capturing 48MP still images with a 155-degree field of view and an f/2.8 aperture. The camera supports 4K video at 60fps, 2.7K at 120fps, and full HD at speeds up to 240fps.

The drone is expected to weigh approximately 485 grams, measures 180x216x82mm, and features 3-inch propellers. With the new 3400mAh intelligent flight battery, the Avata 2 offers a flight time of up to 27 minutes when used with the RC Motion 2 controller and 12-15 minutes in manual mode.
