Drone video shows crowds paying respect to soccer legend Maradona
A drone video shows crowds of people lining the streets in Buenos Aires, Argentina to pay tribute to soccer legend Diego Armando Maradona.
Maradona was an Argentine professional soccer player and a manager later on in his career. He is viewed by many as one of the greatest players of all time. He has been awarded the FIFA Player of the 20th Century award together with Pelé.
Maradona was born on October 30, 1960, in Lanús and died on November 25, 2020, in Tigre, Argentina at the age of 60.
He (in)famously scored the first goal during the Argentina v England quarterfinals match of the 1986 FIFA World Cup with “a little with his head, and a little with the hand of God”. Only minutes later he scored what is considered by many one of the finest goals in the sport.
