Drone delivery is coming to your town. Here is what that means, town by town.
One guide per town, in plain language: which companies, how a drone would reach your street, who decides what, what the town and its residents can and cannot do, and an anonymous survey so the town's answer is on the record. Every guide marks what is specific to that town and what applies everywhere in the United States, and every claim traces to the document it came from.

California
Belvedere
A plain-language guide for residents before the City Council's final vote on Marin's first drone delivery ordinance. No company has named Belvedere. The sky belongs to the FAA. The doorstep is yours.
Tracy
A plain-language guide for residents before the City of Tracy's October 22 town hall with Amazon Prime Air. Amazon said drones would fly within a month of August 29. They have not. The sky belongs to the FAA. The doorstep is yours.
Ohio
Cincinnati
Wing and Walmart named Cincinnati on January 11, 2026 and have not named a launch date since. The one Ohio Wing filing on the record is a Walmart application in Hamilton, 20 miles north of downtown. The only drone-station rules DroneXL found being written are across the river in Fort Wright, Kentucky. The sky belongs to the FAA. The doorstep is yours.
North Randall
A plain-language guide for the 954 people of North Randall and the east-side suburbs inside Amazon's 7.5-mile circle. Two kinds of delivery drone already fly here. No council vote on either is on any public record. The sky belongs to the FAA. The doorstep is yours.
Texas
Houston
Houston is one of two US metros, with Dallas-Fort Worth, where all three home-delivery drone companies fly at once. The FAA has signed the papers for far more than is in the air today. The city has no zoning, the counties have none, and Harris County has gone to court. Here is what that leaves you.
Mesquite
A plain-language guide for the east side of Dallas County, where Zipline's Walmart drones have flown since April 2025 with almost no argument, and for Greenville in Hunt County, where one came down under its parachute in July. The sky belongs to the FAA. The permit belongs to Mesquite. Austin decides the rest.
Richardson
A plain-language guide for residents of the North Texas city that approved an Amazon drone hub and then found out what it had signed. The drones are flying. The sky belongs to the FAA, the hours belong to the zoning, and Austin decides the rest.
Waco
Amazon has flown packages over Waco since November 5, 2025. The FAA signed off on 1,000 flights a day. Texas law voids any city rule on how the drones operate. Here is what is left for the city, and for you.
