Unlocking LAANC: Aloft’s Groundbreaking Developer Tools

Aloft Technologies, Inc. unveiled an innovative suite of developer tools today. These tools allow third-party entities to integrate smoothly with the Aloft platform, offering everything from tailored map layers to Low Altitude Authorization and Notification Capability (LAANC) integrations.

Aloftโ€™s latest developer platform now facilitates drone hardware Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), drone software suppliers, and corporations operating in-house drone workflows to incorporate Aloftโ€™s LAANC, airspace, and fleet management features directly into their software.

Included in today’s launch are fresh fleet management and airspace APIs, plus map tile services. These enable third-party developers to connect to and interact with Aloft’s secure, authoritative data services while visualizing airspace and other map data layers. These new tools will grant developers access to top-notch capabilities that meet the burgeoning demand for cutting-edge drone tech solutions.

One key feature is the LAANC access for Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)-approved developer partners. This marks a significant stride towards simplified airspace authorization, illustrating the ongoing progress by the FAA to refine the LAANC system to bolster airspace safety and compliance. This enhancement will broaden the LAANC ecosystem’s reach, open new markets, and simplify compliance for all operators.

“Today, we’re not just revealing new tools; we’re showcasing the future of programmed aviation,” commented Jon Hegranes, CEO & Founder of Aloft. “The aviation environment is transforming quickly, and unmanned aircraft systems are crucial to this shift. By giving developers the tools to integrate seamlessly with the Aloft platform, we’re boosting the safety, compliance, and efficiency of the National Airspace System (NAS).”

This declaration strengthens Aloft’s dedication to leading the drone industry’s development, establishing the company at the cutting edge of endeavors to safely and efficiently integrate UAS into the NAS, from small drones to cargo and air taxi cases.

Aloft’s developer partners can immediately access the new developer tools. Further information about these capabilities and how to request access can be found here.
