The winners in the 2020 AUVSI XCELLENCE Humanitarian and Public Safety Award have been named. DJI sponsors the Award for Drone Missions to help People, Animals and the Environment.
The following is a statement from AUVSI president and CEO, Brian Wynne, in response to the House Armed Services Future of Defense Task Force report:
Wingcopter has been named as a finalist in the XCELLENCE Awards by the Association for Unmanned Vehicles Systems International (AUVSI). The Germany-based manufacturer of autonomous delivery drones was selected from a pool of accomplished applicants as one of six finalists for the Humanitarian category.
This year, the 2020 FAA UAS Symposium that is organized by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in partnership with AUVSI will take place online. It is good to see that this important event is still taking place albeit in a different format. It is not so great that the FAA and AUVSI will be charging us a hefty fee to partake online.
