Drone Delivery Canada Corp. is pleased to announce that it has received a Special Flight Operations Certificate (“SFOC”) from Transport Canada, issued October 16th, 2020, for Beyond Visual Line of Sight (“BVLOS”) commercial drone delivery for the Beausoleil First Nation (“BFN”) COVID-19 operations, previously announced June 4th, 2020.

Altitude Angel establishes "Drone Zone" for drones and planes

In the United Kingdom, the Thames Valley to the west of London will be the site of what is expected to be the world’s first commercial ‘super-highway’ drone corridor in open and unrestricted airspace according to plans submitted to the UK’s Civil Aviation Authority. Operated and managed by Altitude Angel, the site will be available to support fully automated drone flights beyond visual line-of-sight (BVLOS) from any drone company which completes a series of basic technical integrations which, crucially, don’t require specialist hardware on-board the drone.

Vigilant Aerospace uses a detect-and-avoid system for pandemic response drone test flight with Oklahoma State University and MaxQ. Vigilant Aerospace provided its FlightHorizon detect-and-avoid and airspace management system to enable beyond visual line-of-sight capabilities for a demonstration flight of Oklahoma State University’s (OSU) specially modified medical supply delivery drone on April 16.
