One of the most debated topics of the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) NPRM for Remote ID for Drones it the pilot’s location. DJI recently posted this video on YouTube (see below) explaining how remote identification for unmanned aerial systems (UAS) could work. Many drone pilots responded right away saying that they do not want their location to be made public when flying their drones. Since then DJI has adjusted the video’s description to be more clear.
