The drone inspections from Bryan Texas Utilities (BTU)started on January 4th and will run through January 8th and take place along Texas Avenue in Bryan, TX, according to KAGSTV.
According to Bryan Texas Utilities, the company teamed up with McCord Engineering to conduct the power line easements. The survey covers Cooner Street to Villa Maria Road. According to BTU, the drones will be flown 40 to 200 feet above Texas Avenue. the drone flights will take place between the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will be monitored by special survey teams.
BTU confirmed that McCord Engineering is licensed by the FAA to fly drones for inspection and surveying purposes.
